Cassandra Harris, MS, MCHES

Cassandra Harris leads and coordinates and is the health education manager community health education outreach and collaboration for MD Anderson's Center for Department of Health Disparities Community-Engaged Translational Research. With more than 25 years of community collaboration experience in health education and community engagement, program planning, professional training & curricula development. Ms. Harris has also chaired the National Institutes of Health's Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer's Houston Coalition National Outreach Network Program since 2002. She has held local, state, national and international leadership positions of service. Under her leadership, the program has made strides in increasing community partners' ability to help vulnerable populations better understand clinical trial participation, their cancer risks and ways to reduce the burden of cancer for their families.
